Long story short
Our project with Nosco revolves around the idea of highlighting a spontaneous and creative mindset in a graphic identity. Nosco believes in the advantages of building collaborative innovation communities in large corporations through an open exchange of ideas. Our goal was to reflect the flow of unfiltered ideas and to invite people to interact with the identity, while speaking with a rebellious, anti-establishment tone-of-voice.
The idea
AM wanted to showcase Nosco’s passion for innovative cultures, and how corporations can prosper from bringing the power back to their employees. We created a graphic identity which reflects the advantages to “un-businessing” as a means for a greater amount of creative flow within collaborative communities and spaces. The aim for the identity was to encapsulate Nosco’s ambitions in an anarchistic, fun, and inventive way. To loosen the restrictive corporate tie and break the traditional boundaries through a quirky and dynamic design. The design of the red thread illustrates the initial imperfection of ideas and eliminates the perfectionism which often surrounds the mystical magic of innovation. After all… Innovation is everybody’s business.
The outcome
The project for Nosco included a full day of workshopping to gather insights, identifying their needs, and to jot down a ton of ideas — of course. After the workshop we started developing ideas for the identity, and as we got closer to the final solution, the whole project just added up. The outcome of the project is a complete graphic identity, as well as a full communication concept. This included a customised typeface, animation concept, illustration style, logo design, image concept, colour schemes, and finally a tone-of-voice concept. The idea with the identity was to encourage the user, as well as Nosco’s own staff, to take action by filling in the blank space with a multitude of fresh and diverse ideas. Only a few weeks after the identity was implemented, the feedback arrived in our inbox: People where embracing the new look and interaction was happening!
